Just received this pic of Bourbon, all the way from Washington DC!

Meet Fatty, the little 2lb chihuahua. …He’s rockin out in his gray tshirt (xxs)!
Look at cute little Murphy wearing his Superman Scutte tee! I just received these pics from his mom, photographer Lauryn Byrdy in Ohio.

We love spying Scutte tee’s! If you have a Scutte shirt, take a pic of your favorite furry pal wearing it and send it to me at kira@scutte.com I’ll blog the pics and you’ll earn a spot on the Scutte Website!
This Sunday in Napa at Hall Wines we’re going to be setting up shop and selling some Scutte tees and catnip toys! I (Kira) will be on site as well shooting photos for the event (remember I’m a pet photographer!)
If you’re not doing anything, come on out! It is a benefit event for the Napa Humane Society and it’s sponsored by Hall Wines and the Woof Report.

Hope to see you soon!
Harley and I were walking around San Francisco today when I briefly made eye contact with a man on the street as I was walking… who stopped me and said, “I’m wearing the same shirt as your dog”. It kind of threw me off guard until I turned around and low and behold, the man was wearing the same exact shirt as Harley. It was true! …Now what are the chances of this happening? Uhhh the shirt that Harley was wearing was from PRAGUE. I asked the guy where he got his shirt and he said his friend brought it back from Prague for him. It must be fate or something! I asked if I could take his pic and here ya have it, straight from my iPhone

Shortly after this encounter, Harley and I were walking towards Bart when I had my very first public Scutte sighting! I ran into the first dog wearing a Scutte tee, on the streets of San Francisco! It was very exciting… another Boston Terrier named Rocco! He was wearing a navy blue “Marin County Humane Society” tee, super super cute, yay!
I stumbed across an interesting article today that someone left on twitter… about man’s first friend – and the first domesticated pet. So what was it? ….You guessed it! – THE DOG. Here’s a blurb of the article:
The dog. No one can pinpoint exactly when humans first started keeping dogs as pets, but estimates range from roughly 13,000 to 30,000 years ago. Archaeologists can tell domesticated canines apart from wolves through skeletal differences: Dogs had smaller teeth, for example, and a reduced “Sagittal crest”—the bone ridge that runs down the forehead and connects to the jaw. The earliest dog bones, discovered in Belgium in 2008, are from 31,700 years ago. But ancient dog skeletons have also been unearthed in western Russia, near its border with Ukraine, and elsewhere across Europe, Asia, and Australia, suggesting that canine domestication was a widespread phenomenon.
