I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend! Harley and I celebrated by going to the SF Puppy Prep Halloween Happy Hour on Fri night. It was super fun and there were lots of doggies all dressed up!

Harley just turned 1 year old on Saturday (oct 24th). On Sunday we went to the Southpaw/Pawtrero Halloween Party which was a Muttville Fundraiser at Pier 40 in San Francisco. For his first Harl-ween, Harley went as good ol’ Elvis! He looked great in his sequin jumpsuit, scarf and sunglasses!
After the Muttville party we headed over to the Alameda Small Dog Park Halloween party. We got there late so we missed the costume contest but everyone got a kick out of Harley’s outfit anyway. I let him run around in his outfit and it was hilarious watching him run with his bellbottoms waving in the air, haha!
This Sunday in Napa at Hall Wines we’re going to be setting up shop and selling some Scutte tees and catnip toys! I (Kira) will be on site as well shooting photos for the event (remember I’m a pet photographer!)
If you’re not doing anything, come on out! It is a benefit event for the Napa Humane Society and it’s sponsored by Hall Wines and the Woof Report.

Harley and I were walking around San Francisco today when I briefly made eye contact with a man on the street as I was walking… who stopped me and said, “I’m wearing the same shirt as your dog”. It kind of threw me off guard until I turned around and low and behold, the man was wearing the same exact shirt as Harley. It was true! …Now what are the chances of this happening? Uhhh the shirt that Harley was wearing was from PRAGUE. I asked the guy where he got his shirt and he said his friend brought it back from Prague for him. It must be fate or something! I asked if I could take his pic and here ya have it, straight from my iPhone 
Shortly after this encounter, Harley and I were walking towards Bart when I had my very first public Scutte sighting! I ran into the first dog wearing a Scutte tee, on the streets of San Francisco! It was very exciting… another Boston Terrier named Rocco! He was wearing a navy blue “Marin County Humane Society” tee, super super cute, yay!
Scutte is now on Yelp. Yelp’s an online review site where you can review and rank your favorite places and things.
…LOL!So the other night while I was stitchin away, I found myself with some fabric remnants in the same colors as the shirt I was wearing. So I decided to make it into a little shirt for Harley. Last night we wore our shirts together on our walk and took some photos, then we ended up wearing our shirts together to Harley’s Junior High class…. What do you think? …Am I cute or crazy?
Don’t we look like twins?
So, I’m not sure where I was or what I was doing when the media announced the passing of Bea Arthur the other day, but I found out last night and was completely devastated! I really <3′d Bea, I’ve been a Golden Girls fan since the mid 80’s. I used to watch the Golden Girls with my dad as a kid, and today I still watch it when it’s on (or one of my many Golden Girls DVDs.
Bea Arthur was great, and I guess I need to cross her off of my short list of people I’d like to shoot (photographs of), boo. Oh man, I’m getting old now, all of the people I watched on tv as as a kid are either up there or gone now.
I took a “Which Golden Girl Are You” Facebook quiz, and it told me I’m Dorothy (I already k new this though… just like the Sex and the City quiz told me I’m Carrie Bradshaw). Dorothy though was always my favorite. Her wit and dry sense of humor coupled with that deep voice cracks me up every time. Anyway, if you want to take the Golden Girls FB quiz, CLICK HERE.
Even though Bea Arthur is no longer with us, Dorothy Zsbornak will live forever! RIP Bea, we will miss you!

I started using Twitter last month and I have to say, it’s been one of the best commitments I’ve made for Scutte, Nuena, Fetch and Fryhole. Twitter is a great way to connect with people having similar interests – in my case, photography, dogs/cats/pets, and food!
